Hi I'm Craig Drescher and I'm 33 years old.
Born in 1975. I've been racing for close to 22 years and I've been with AE as a racer for approx. 18 years. Second longest standing racer/employee behind Cliff Lett at Team Associated.
I started racing with a Tamiya Frog in the 380 class and progressed through the ranks to 540 a few years later. I then progressed through the ranks with the BRCA junior championships winning this 3 years in a row whilst competing in the National championships around the country. I made my first European Championship podium in Lyon France finishing 3rd behind Jamie Booth and the winner Dennis Blandin in 1988. This was an unexpected achievement for me and after this I made every European podium for the next 2 years until I won my first European title in 1991. This victory soon became 2 because I was the first person to do the double winning both 2WD and 4WD and at 16 years old I was one of the youngest. I'm not now but at least I was the first.
During the run up to my European Championship I'd made a few Worlds finals. My first was in Sydney, Australia in 1989 and then in Detroit, Michigan in 1991. Throughout my long careers I've made worlds finals in Off road electric 2WD and 4WD classes with my highest finish been 3rd place, I've made worlds finals in 1/12 and Pro 10 with a highest finish of 4th place and I've made worlds finals in 1/10th electric touring cars with a highest finish of 4th place. I've racked up 11 European Titles and more British national titles which I'm very proud of.
I ventured into on road for a good 10 years but I'm proud to say I'm back racing off road and I'm loving it. Its been a tough battle to get back my feel for racing off road but its finally coming back and I'm loving the challenge. I will be doing some of the major competitions throughout 2009 so I'm expecting some decent results. Thanks to Ghea racing for the support and I hope to bring them some success with my results.
Regards
Craig Drescher
